COMPENSATION & LOCATION

The compensation range is $29-$34 per hour.

This position is based out of our Elk Grove Village location.

POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Administrator provides hands-on administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on benefits, leave administration, HRIS accuracy, and onsite HR operations.

This role serves as the primary onsite HR presence, acting as a key resource for employees, managers, and People Operations leadership while ensuring a high level of service, accuracy, and compliance.
 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES

Employee Lifecycle Administration

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes from start to finish
  • Maintain employee records, including I-9s, acknowledgements, and required documentation
  • Process employee status changes (hires, promotions, transfers, terminations) in the HRIS
  • Partner with IT and hiring managers to ensure Day 1 readiness (equipment, access, logistics)

Benefits Administration

  • Administer benefits enrollments, life events, terminations, and Open Enrollment
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions
  • Partner with brokers and vendors on day-to-day administration
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and documentation

Leave Administration

  • Manage leaves of absence including FMLA, state leaves, and short-term disability
  • Track key dates, certifications, and return-to-work processes
  • Ensure timely distribution of required notices and documentation
  • Partner with payroll on leave-related pay and deductions
  • Escalate complex or sensitive cases as needed

HR Operations & Employee Support

  • Monitor and manage the HR inbox, ensuring timely response and routing
  • Process incoming HR mail (scan, distribute, track documentation)
  • Maintain organized digital and physical HR records
  • Serve as the onsite HR contact for employee questions and support
  • Assist with front desk coverage as needed
  • Coordinate HR meetings, onsite logistics, and document distribution
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • 2–4 years of HR administrative, benefits, or leave experience
  • Experience working within an HRIS and document management systems
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable handling confidential information
  • Professional, service-oriented approach to employee support
  • Ability to work onsite full-time

Preferred:

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS
  • Multi-state benefits and/or leave administration experience
  • Experience in healthcare or a regulated environment

Work Environment & Travel Requirements 

  • Onsite role 
  • Minimal travel requirements, less than 5%
