LOCATION

Hybrid based out of either the Elk Grove Village, IL or Columbus, OH pharmacy 
Travel %: ≤20-30% 

COMPENSATION

The anticipated salary range for this position is based on work location and pharmacist licensure:

Elk Grove Village, IL

  • Licensed Pharmacist: $155,000–$170,000 annually
  • Non-Pharmacist: $115,000–$130,000 annually

Columbus, OH

  • Licensed Pharmacist: $145,000–$160,000 annually
  • Non-Pharmacist: $110,000–$125,000 annually

Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, licensure, and other job-related considerations.


POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Account and Program Management, serves as the intermediary between the Program Management (PM) and Operations (Ops) teams, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration to drive pre- and post-launch success. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring strategic and insight driven approach with current accounts.  The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to analyze data, identify gaps in processes, and implement expedited solutions that enhance efficiency and collaboration. This role also includes direct people management responsibilities, providing leadership, coaching, and engagement within the Program Management team. They will work closely with key stakeholders across functions to accelerate the success of product launches and ensure the operational teams are proactive in addressing challenges before they arise. The role requires consistent travel for quarterly business reviews, manufacturer meetings, and other business engagements as needed.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Intermediary Role: Serve as the key bridge between the Program Management and Operations teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working toward success for each launch.  
  • Launch Success Management: Drive the successful launch of all launches by identifying gaps, facilitating communication, and ensuring that operations and project management teams are accountable and proactive in their approach. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and analytics to monitor and assess the performance of launches, identify trends and areas for improvement to ensure the efficient delivery of services. 
  • Challenge Resolution: Work closely with key stakeholders, to anticipate and address potential roadblocks or challenges before they become obstacles to launch success. 
  • Collaboration & Accountability: Foster a culture of collaboration between teams while holding both Project Management and Operations accountable for proactive problem-solving and timely execution. 
  • Process Optimization: Recognize trends across launches and develop strategies to create efficiencies, streamline processes, and enhance the overall success rate of launches. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide regular feedback to senior leadership on the performance of launches, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement and ensuring a high level of service for specialty pharmacy clients 
  • People Management & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring accountability, professional growth, and collaboration. Provide guidance and performance feedback to drive results and engagement. 
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Extensive knowledge of customized patient support services for specialty drugs.  
  • Strong project management and program implementation experience.  
  • Proven ability to build and maintain manufacturer partnerships. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with attention to detail. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). 
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or school of pharmacy preferred.
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in good standing.
  • Must maintain pharmacist licensure as required for the assigned state(s) or jurisdiction(s).
  • 8–12 years of relevant professional experience, including 3–5 years of people management, supervisory, or team leadership experience.
  • Experience with rare and orphan disease programs preferred.
  • Experience with HUB services and specialty pharmacy operations preferred.
