COMPENSATION & LOCATION
The salary range for this role is $70,000-$80,000.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Elk Grove Village, IL. Occasional travel to other locations may be required (approximately 20%).
POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Assistant to the CEO delivers strategic and high-level administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, while also assisting other C-suite executives as needed. This role is responsible for managing complex scheduling, facilitating communications, and organizing critical meetings and forums. The Executive Assistant also prepares materials for board, investor, and key stakeholder engagements. Success in this position requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Executive Partnership & Strategic Alignment
- Act as a force multiplier for the CEO by managing priorities, creating space for strategic work, and ensuring time and information are aligned with company objectives.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all strategic, financial, and personnel matters, exercising sound judgment across interactions.
- Anticipate needs and proactively resolve issues before escalation, driving operational improvements and closing communication gaps.
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the central communication hub between the CEO, C-suite, and broader leadership, ensuring clear and timely information flow and disciplined follow-through on decisions and action items.
- Prepare, refine, and manage executive-level correspondence, presentations, and briefing documents in a concise, polished, and corporate-appropriate manner.
- Partner with the CEO and HR/Communications teams to support leadership communications and culture-building initiatives.
Meeting, Event, & Travel Management
- Coordinate and manage board meetings, leadership forums, investor interactions, and other key engagements, including agendas, supporting materials, logistics, and follow-up actions.
- Own planning and logistics for executive meetings, leadership offsites, and town halls to foster alignment and accountability.
- Arrange and oversee complex domestic and international travel, managing itineraries, changes, and expense reporting with meticulous attention to detail.
- Provide flexible support to C-suite leaders during peak periods, including scheduling and coordination of key meetings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING
- 5–8+ years of experience supporting senior executives (CEO, President, or C‑suite), preferably within healthcare, life sciences, or investor-backed, growth-oriented organizations.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools, with a continuous improvement mindset toward processes and workflows.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability in handling confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders, shifting priorities, and high expectations for responsiveness and quality.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage complex calendars, competing deadlines, and sensitive deliverables with accuracy and composure.
- Strong business judgment and professional maturity; able to interact credibly with board members, investors, senior leaders, and external partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a refined executive presence and strong attention to detail in all written materials.
