POSITION SUMMARYThis role leads the strategy and execution of People Operations to deliver a seamless, scalable employee experience in a hybrid workplace. Reporting to the Chief People Officer and partnering with leadership and cross-functional teams, this leader shapes the systems, programs, and culture that position the organization as a Best Place to Work. Beyond ensuring compliance and operational excellence across payroll, benefits, compensation, workforce planning, and HR systems, the role champions innovation - leveraging technology, data, and external partnerships to elevate engagement, equity, and performance. By optimizing processes and designing forward-thinking solutions, this position drives organizational growth while fostering an environment where employees thrive.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Leads and develops the People Operations team to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals, including:
- Providing direct management and mentorship to team members.
- Setting clear priorities and fostering accountabilities.
- Building capabilities through coaching, training, and professional development.
- Driving a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Owns and continuously improves the end-to-end People Operations experience, including:
- Payroll, benefits, and leave management.
- Compensation strategy and pay equity.
- Compliance with employment laws and policies.
- Workforce planning and headcount management.
- Employee relations and help desk support.
- HR systems, reporting and analytics.
- Performance management and feedback programs.
- Onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Workplace experience initiatives, events, and milestone recognition.
- Drives strategic partnerships and resource optimization to enhance employee experience and operational efficiency, including:
- Building strong partnerships with benefit providers, brokers, and HR technology vendors to optimize cost, service, and experience.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with leadership, training, IT, and location management to streamline internal tools and systems.
- Leading and preparing for key meetings with leadership, the company, and cross -functional partners.
- Driving innovation by evaluating external solutions and AI capabilities to optimize efficiency and scalability.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 10+ years of progressive experience in People Operations, with at least 7 years in management capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
KNOWLEDGE
- Deep expertise in People Operations, such as payroll, benefits, compensation, and workforce planning.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations (federal, state, local).
- Knowledge of compensation frameworks, pay equity principles, and benefits regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPPA, FLSA).
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, reporting tools, and analytics platforms.
- Experience leveraging technology, AI, and external resources to optimize People processes.
- Awareness of emerging HR technologies and vendor solutions.
SKILLS
- Strategic thinking with the ability to design scalable processes and programs.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities are important.
- Exceptional communication, influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making.
