COMPENSATION 

The hourly rate for this position is $28.00 for employees based in the Elk Grove Village, IL area. Compensation for candidates hired in other geographic locations will be reviewed and determined during the hiring process.

LOCATION

This position is remote; however, candidates located near our Elk Grove Village, IL or Columbus, OH offices are preferred.


POSITION SUMMARY

The liaison will be a key contact along with the Program Manager for the drug product(s) assigned interacting with the prescriber, prescriber office staff, drug manufacturer representatives and working with program managers to deliver excellent customer service and responsiveness for the manufacturer’s program. The role will require a high sense of urgency and the ability to answer questions quickly or respond/resolve issues that may arise. The liaison will be actively engaged/participating in communications and meetings and will provide patient and provider support when needed to ensure the program requirements are met. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  •  Provide patient case status information to outside field team as requested. 
  • Interact with internal SPP teams or team members to expedite patient processing as needed. 
  • Communicate with health care providers on occasion as needed to resolve case status issues. 
  • Serve as point of contact to field reps, MD offices, and patients for all assigned orders. 
  • Obtain necessary information required to successfully process patient orders. 
  • Communicate effectively with internal team on needs of outside team requests and expediting patient issues. 
  • Communicate with external team of escalated issues and needs to assist with improvement of patient referral process and improving outcomes. 
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING

  •  Ability to work with diverse customer base both external and internal, including but not limited to manufacturer accounts representatives, MD office staff, and patients. 
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  •  Experience in providing excellent customer service skills to internal and external customers. 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and provide support to other team members. 
  • Ability to manage intake of issues via phone and email and segregate urgent from non-urgent. 
  • Detail oriented individual. 
  • Ability to identify solutions to problems quickly and communicate results in a timely fashion. 
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adhere to established response times to manufacturer for urgent and non-urgent issues. 
  • Ability to multitask and deliver on tight deadlines. 
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Pharmacy Technician License Required. 
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification Preferred. 
  • Intermediate Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Required.
